A Card for my future Granddaugher in law

Three weeks Saturday my eldest grandson Andy will marry a beautiful young girl Laura and they will start their lives together, and I wanted to let Laura know how much she will mean to us by joining our family. Andy is one beautiful person and so is Laura and I know they will be very happy together or at least I sincerely hope they will. Laura is a fully qualified nurse and works very hard though I know they are hoping to start a family fairly quickly so I wouldnt be to surprised to hear that Im to be a great grandma in the near future. Anyway we have to send them some money as a gift and I couldnt think of anything nicer than to make her a card wishing her all the best for the 18th August, and here is the image I decided to use, its Tilda with her bridesmaid.
Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copics to colour her, and then used Nestabilitie Die Labels No.18 to cut her out, then drew around the die to create the mount which I have pleated lace all around the edge of. The sentiment is yet another of the Magnolia stamps which I thought was appropriate for the card, this has also been mounted onto pink card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pink card, the papers I have used are Kaisercrafts "Chanteuse" Collection a very pretty set of papers, the first is a white background with flowers and leaves on, and for the second I cut a 5" square and used one of my Martha Stewart border and corner punches on it, then placed it on top of the bottom layer. I then cut a heart doily
with one of the pink papers with a Cheery Lynn Die, and then wrapped a pink organza ribbon around the middle.
The mounted image was then positioned towards the right with the sentiment at the bottom on left.
And to finish of I created a flower spray with roses, carnations and pearls in the top left hand corner.

A Card for several Magnolia Challenges

Good Morning Crafters, I hope that the weather is nice where you are, the sun is out here and the temperature is going up at long last keep your fingers crossed it lasts for another month as I have two of my grandsons coming for a week then I have my eldest grandsons wedding on the 18th August so Im hoping it lasts till after that. Anyway back to todays card and I have created this Magnolia one for a change, I dont seem to use my magnolia's much these days but I do love this little mite in her tutu, and have created a birthday card with it for one of my granddaughers.
Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, then used a Cheery Lynn Oval die to cut her out, and for my mount I have used the Swedish Flower Oval die for the mount. The sentiment is one of the Magnolia ones as well.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pale lilac card, and Ive used just one paper is from Prima's Meadow Lark paper pad, a very pretty flower background on a pink and lilac paper, then on top I have used a heart doily and have distressed it with one of my Pan Pastels then positioned my mounted image towards the right, with the sentiment at the bottom on the left.
To finish of I have used five different sized roses in a floral spray and stuck them to the top left hand corner with some silicone glue and punched out rose leaves.

A Card for Sundays with Santa on Facebook

Good Morning Crafters, I hope the weather is improving with you at the moment its still spitting here in Gloucestershire, but Im keeping my fingers crossed that the promised dry weather might be on its way over the weekend, but we shall see. Todays card has been created for this weeks "White on White" Challenge, and Ive used lots of white pearlecent card for my card.
I cut the first layer and passed it through my cuttlebug with a Christmas tree embossing folder, then on top I have put two die cut tree shapes from Memory Box and a further larger one from Spellbinders in the middle of the two others, then along the bottom I have used a Fir Tree border.
The sentiment is one of the LOV stamps thats been stamped and cut with a circle die, then mounted onto a large Snowflake die from Memory Box.

Another card for Sugary Sunday and Sugar Bowl Challenges

Good Afternoon All, well the clouds are on their way back so I suppose its going rain again soon, Im fed up with it and I suspect the rest of you are to. Well todays card has been created for this weeks "A Card for Men/Boy" Challenge over on Facebook for Sugary Sunday, and as the Sugar Bowl Challenges are also running for a month I thought that I would combine them and use this gorgeous little boy image from Funky Kits, its a digi image actually and Ive printed him onto white card then used my copic pens to colour him. Afterwards Ive used the Rectangle Die from Nestabilities and mounted it on yet another larger one. The sentiment is a Whimsey ticket stamp and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of pale blue card, the papers Ive used are from the Nitwits "Oh Boy" digi paper set, and have mounted them up as the sketch shows, I then positioned my mounted image at an angle on the left and the swirl has been stuck down on the right with the sentiment at the top on the right.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Afternoon All, well the rain has stopped and I have to take the dog for a walk soon so Id better get on and post this card. Now I know you will probably faint as Ive actually created two cards in two days, but as my hubbys eldest granddaughter starts School in September I thought it was a good excuse you use this sweet image from Funky Kits. Ive decided to enter it in the Sugar Bowls Sketch and Sugary Sunday on Facebook Challenges.
I stamped the image onto white card then used my copic pens to colour and then used the mega rectangle die from Nestabilities to cut it out, then created a mount for it out of blue card. The sentiment was created in My Craft Studio and printed and then cut out with a circle die and mounted it with the same blue card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of blue card and the papers I have used are from Sweetshopes "Flippin Amazing" digi paper set, the first a plain blue background then the two other mounts are with a strip pattern and a circle/dot pattern.
Ive laid them according to the sketch and stuck the sentiment at the top on the right, and created a flower with some of the left over papers with the Die Namics Petal Posy die, this is a large daisy die, Ive stuck it to the card with silicone glue and some punched out leaves.

My Embossed Card for this weeks Sundays with Santa on Facebook

Good Afternoon All, well the sun is out but for how long Ive no idea, anyway this weeks challenge on Sundays with Santa was to make an embossed card, and Ive also combined mine with using mica flakes, more on this in a moment. Anyway I cut a piece of card for the first mount of white pearlescent card on my 6"x 6" white base card and ran it through my cuttlebug with a snowflake embossing folder, then used a wide Christmas ribbon around the middle I stuck it to the base card.
Now back to my Christmas tree, I first had to use a special glue that you get from Indigo Blu, you create your own stamping pad with it, you then use this on your stamp, Ive used this gorgeous Xmas Tree, then rub the mica flakes over the glue, now this is where it gets extremely messy and sticky. I used the special foam square on it afterwards to get rid of the excess and I also stamped the sentiment at the bottom.
The problem with this sticking mica flakes is the clearing up afterwards, it does make everything sticky and youve really got a job to clean the stamp, though you do get special stuff for this but you also have to wash it in soapy water. I will try again in the future but its certainly one job you need to give yourself some time to do. I actually got my stamp stuck to my card the first time I tried it. Anyway good luck, I cut out the tree and used some silicone glue to stick it to the base card.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Hi Good Evening All, sorry Ive not been by for a few days, but I dont seem to have the energy to make cards everyday so only make them when I need to, and of course weve had a dog with a sore back for a few days, luckily shes now pretty much back to normal.
Todays card has been created for Sugary Sunday's "Spots and Stripes" (which I didnt realise until after Id made my card) and for the Sugar Bowls "Sketch" Challenges, and Ive used this sweet image of Daisy and I know its quite sort after as Ive seen several mentions of people looking for it. Anyway Ive stamped her onto white card then coloured her with my copic pens, then used Nestabilitie Die No.12 to cut her out and then drew around the die to create the mount for it out of blue card. The sentiment is one from my stash and has been treated in the same way as the image.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card and the papers I have used are all from Donna's "Simply Dots" digi paper set, and Ive picked four colours with the spots in white. These have been laid up according to the sketch.

A Card for Sundays with Santa Challenge

Good Morning All, well that beautiful weather we had yesterday hasnt lasted today we are back to the wet stuff again, and weve also got to rest our Yorkie for a few days, somehow yesterday she managed to hurt her back end and was in a lot of pain with it, now after a painkiller injection and tablets she thinks shes ok again and wants to run around and go for a walk, so isnt very happy at this precise moment and is very anxious as to why shes not going out.
Anyway I thought I would post my card today for Sundays with Santa Challenge and its all about favourite things, I love this Mo image and its been awhile since Ive used it, but though it was such a joy to colour and the paper I used is from Donna's of Bearlymine Designs Digi Paper Christmas Sets, its beautiful, so I only used the one and a ribbon across the middle. A simple card with a wow effect, or at least I think it has. I should also have said I used the Pans Pastels around the edge of the image, and the sentiment is one from my stash.

A Card for the Sugar Bowl and Sugary Sunday Challenges

Good Morning All, well again the weather is awful its almost like October and still threatening rain, anyway I thought a cup of coffee might be in order and I have used the new Funky Kits stamp for my card isnt she cute, Ive stamped her onto white card then used my copic pens to colour her, afterwards I used my rotatrim to cut her out and mounted her onto a piece of dark mauve card. The sentiment is one of the CC stamps and has also been mounted onto another piece of the same colour card.
The base card is a 6"x 6" white card with a first mount of mauve card and the papers I have used are from Kay Millers "Enchanted" digi paper set, they are all shades of pink and mauve so I thought they would be ideal for this card. The way I have created it is with a sketch from Sugar Nellie, and for the Sugary Sunday Challenge this week its all about our favourite things, and I have used mauve and pink as my most fav. colour choices.
